DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper Day 2 - We'll be there!

I've been helping behind the scenes organising the next DeveloperDeveloperDeveloper Day to be held at Microsoft UK in Reading on 22nd October 2005.

In a similar style to the US Code Camps, the event is by the community for the community with Microsoft providing the venue and logistics. The day will mainly focus on and around .NET technologies.

Like the first one we asked the community for speakers, and this time also allowed the community to set the agenda by voting on which sessions they would like to attend.

Without any conventional advertising, just word of mouth and blogging we have over 400 people signed up for the day!

Simon is giving a talk on Windows Communication Foundation (WCF - better known as Indigo) and then later we're giving a "good cop/bad cop" joint session on the CLR, garbage collection and design patterns in the .NET framework.

So hope to see you there!

RoadToWinFX Developer Community site around WinFX (WPF, WCF, WWF)

Simon and I have been busy building a new developer community site, and we are now pleased to announce: http://www.roadtowinfx.com/

'RoadToWinFX' is a community site dedicated to bringing you the best blog entries, code, competitions and articles about Microsoft's next-generation managed APIs.

Mike Taulty was kind enough to announce the site on his blog, and we have lots of ongoing plans for the site to evolve over the coming months.

But to start off, we have instructions to get you up and running with the latest WinFX CTP bits, list of top resources and opml export of bloggers by technology. Also developer challenges as a way to get you, the community, involved and to showcase talent in these emerging technologies.

So if you are blogging around Avalon, Indigo or Workflow then drop us a line and submit your blog.
